Lysander Valentone
(Lysander is a character in one of my books, like most of my characters. At the bottom of the page is the prologue to said book, and you can tell me what you think by sending me a message on Yahoo! or going to http://www.the-allegiance.com and telling me how you felt about my work. Please give me feedback, though. The book is not quite finished, and I have yet to edit the story, so this is only a draft.)
Twelve-year-old Lysander Valentone is a brilliant criminal mastermind. How does one describe Lysander Valentone? Various psychiatrists have tried and failed. The main problem is Lysander's own intelligence. He bamboozles every test thrown at him. He has puzzled the greatest medical minds and sent many of them gibbering to their own hospitals. There is no doubt that Lysander is a child prodigy. But why does someone of such brilliance dedicate himself to criminal activities? This is a question that can be answered by only one person. And he delights in not talking. Perhaps the best way to create an accurate picture of Lysander is to tell the by now famous account of his first villainous venture. When he repeated the activities of another young mastermind, and succeeded in outwitting the Fairy population, or People. Young Master Artemis Fowl II discovered that humans had the power of magic in ancient times, but it was cast aside for imperialistic thoughts, as well as the fortitude of what is now modern technology. Back then, it was merely a dream. Lysander knew of this magic potential long before the young Artemis. But then again, Lysander isn't a Human, either. He was twelve years old at the time ...
